The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations 2016 under Dinajpur Education Board, Madrasa Board and Technical Education Board began peacefully in all eights districts under Rangpur division today.
Tight security measures were ensured through deploying police forces in the examination centers while Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted patrols for peaceful holding of the examinations.
According to official sources, Bangla (Compulsory) first part examinations were held peacefully today in the SSC examinations without any expulsion in all 240 centers of 58 upazilas in eight districts of Rangpur division under Dinajpur Education Board.
A total of 1,33,861 candidates, out of 1,34,167, from different secondary level educational institutions took part in Bangla first paper examinations as 306 SCC examinees remained absent today under Dinajpur Education Board.
Deputy Controller of Examinations of Dinajpur Education Board Md Manik Hossain said the examinations were held peacefully today in all examinations centres with no incident of expulsion.
Besides, the Dakhil examinees took part in the Quran Mazid and Tazbid examinations and the SSC Vocational candidates appeared in the Bengali examinations under the Technical Education Board in Rangpur division today.
The Deputy Commissioners and high officials concerned today visited different examination centres in all eight districts and 58 upazilas and expressed their satisfaction over the peaceful atmosphere.
