28 higher secondary level poor and meritorious students of six upazilas in Nilphamari district received Tk 3.36 lakh as education stipend 14 June 2017.
RDRS Bangladesh, a Non-government Organization, distributed Tk. 12,000 among each of the students under its microcredit program in association with the Palli Karma Sohayok Foundation (PKSF) at a function arranged at its Nilphamari Unit Office.
RDRS distributed the stipends among meritorious students so that they could continue their studies overcoming financial hurdles in their families.
Earlier, the stipend recipient students received same amount of stipend in 2016 after brilliantly passing their secondary school certificate examinations of 2015.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Khaled Rahim attended the function and distributed stipend as chief guest with Programme Coordinator of RDRS Bangladesh for Nilphamari KM Rashedul Arefin in the chair.
Monitoring Officer of RDRS Bangladesh for Nilphamari Fuad Khan, its Project Coordinator of School Feeding Programme Anondo Kumar Paul, Staff Reporter of the Dainik Janakantha for Nilphamari Tahmin Haque Boby, among others, were present on the occasion.
