Under the "Development of Selected Non-government Madrasa Project" the Education Engineering Department (EED) has constructed 19 madrasa buildings in Jamalpur district spending Taka 10,93,45,000.
According to EED office, a single storied building with a four storied foundation was constructed in each Madrasa.
Each single storied building have three class rooms, one toilet block including a toilet for disabled students and electric and water supply facilities.
The school buildings were constructed four in Jamalpur Sadar upazila, two in Dewanganj, two in Bakshiganj, three in Sarishabari, four in Melandah and four in Islampur upazilas of the district.
Assistant Engineer of the EED Mir Nazrul Islam said 95 percent works of the project have been completed.
