Naogaon madrasah girl missing for 2 weeks

A 13-year-old madrasah girl who went missing two weeks ago from her home in Ramchandrapur village under Mohadevpur upazila of the district, is yet to be found.

The victim is Mehnaz Aktar, a class VII student of Ramchandrapur dakhil madrasah and daughter of Mahsin Ali of the area.

Speaking to the newsmen on 6 November 2015, her family members said she disappeared from home two weeks ago. After that, they could not contact her anyway.

Victim's father Mahsin Ali filed a general diary (GD) with Mohadevpur Police Station in this connection that very day and later he lodged a abduction case with the Women and Child Repression Tribunal, Naogaon, accusing 5 people of the same area suspecting their involvements in the incident.

The accused persons are- Abdul Matin, his wife Farida; Nafiul Islam, son of Md Golam; Emran Hossain, son of Md Henadul and Sagor Hossain, son of Anwar Hossain, all from the village Ramchandrapur.

According to the case statement, Mehnaz was last seen at her home on October 20 last. Police recorded around 70 incoming calls from a unknown number on her cellphone that day. She was supposed to be trapped by a human trafficking gang.

Inspector of Mohadevpur Police Station Nazmul Haque said police were raiding different places in search of the missing girl.
